Even infants are given Ajwain induced water to help with colic issues. Today I am sharing the recipe for Ajwain rice.
This can be easily made when there is left-over rice at home. If someone you know is suffering from indigestion, this recipe will definitely help with natural and quick recovery. With ajwain I shared one more recipe named Vaamu Jaava, a very old traditinal recipe in India. If we take that jaava in rainy season it is very good for health.

Ingredients Required
- Boiled rice – 1cup
- Oil – 2tbsp
- Red chillies – 2
- Chanadal – 2tbsp
- Uraddal – 2tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1tbsp
- Ajwain – 1 n 1/2tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Green chillies – 2 chopped
- Salt – 2tsp
Preparation
- Cook rice and keep aside
- Add oil to heated pan
- Add chanadal, uraddal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, ajwain, curry leaves and fry
- Add chopped onion and mirchi and fry till colour changes
- Add salt and mix
- Now add boiled rice and mix
- Ajwain rice is ready to serve
