In this article, I’ll share how to prepare street style batani chat. 

Ragda Chaat / Batani Chaat / Hyderabadi Style Chaat is a unique white peas based curry chaat prepared from tomato puree, white peas, and potato and topped with onion, tomato, carrot, sev, and spices. Assembling the chaat is very easy. Serve the chaat hot or warm with your choice of topping. 

The sweetness of chutney, tanginess of tamarind juice, the spiciness of chili, and the crunch of topping make it a more amazing and delicious dish. It is a must-try chaat recipe, I assure you, it will definitely satisfy your taste buds. Try and enjoy the lip-smacking chaat with your dear ones.

It is made with HomeMade Chat Masala which tastes great. In the same process You can prepare Chanachat also. Now lets get into the recipe. I am sharing my Youtube video here so it would be easy for you to follow

Ingredients
  • Batani – 1 Cup
  • Onions – 2
  • Green chillies – 3
  • Carrot – 2
  • Potatoes – 3
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Oil – 2tbsp
  • Salt – 1tsp
  • Red Chilli powder – 1tsp
  • Chat Masala – 1tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1tsp
  • Tamarind paste or Tamarind Juice – 1/2tbsp
For Garnish
  • Coriander leaves
  • Chopped onions
  • Curd – 1tbsp
  • Tomato Ketchup
Method
  1. Add batani into a bowl, clean once
  2. Add water and let soak for 4hrs
  3. 4hrs later,add them into a cooker, along with chopped carrot, potatoes and cook for 5 to 6 whistles
  4. After that mash them and keep aside
  5. Now add oil to a pan and add chopped onion and green chillies and let fry till they are translucent
  6. Now add tomatoes chopped and let it cook completely
  7. Now add salt, red chilli powder, chat masala, garam masala, tamarind paste and fry for 2mins
  8. Add mashed kabuli chana mixture and mix
  9. Add 1 cup water and let cook for 5 to 6 mins
  10. Finally garnish with coriander leaves
For Serving
  1. Add chat to a bowl or plate
  2. Add chopped onions, curd, tomato ketchup, coriander leaves
  3. Batani chat is ready to serve
