Corn Flour Barfi

                                      

In this article, I’ll share how to prepare corn flour barfi. 

Karachi halwa is made with basically four ingredients – corn flour, ghee, water and sugar. Making karachi halwa is easy and does not take much time also.

Karachi halwa is not your everyday sweet, so best to make during festive occasions or special occasions. The Recipe shared here gives you a soft and super delicious halwa.

Ingredients Required
  • Corn Flour – 2cups
  • Ghee – 2tbsp
  • Cashews – 10 to 15
  • Milk – 2cups
  • Sugar – 1 n 1/2cup
Preparation
  1. Add ghee to heated pan, fry cashews and keep them aside
  2. Add milk into same pan and boil
  3. Meanwhile add 2cups corn flour, little water into a bowl and mix to get watery consistency and keep aside
  4. Now add sugar into milk and mix well
  5. Meanwhile grease a plate with ghee and keep aside
  6. Sugar also dissolves in milk, now add watery corn flour into milk and cook till it separates from pan
  7. Now add ghee and mix
  8. Finally transfer into plate greased with ghee and set it properly
  9. Let it come to room temparature, then chill for 15mins
  10. 15mins later cut into pieces and finally garnish with fried cashews
  11. Corn flour barfi is ready to serve
