Cut Mirchi


In this article, I’ll share how to prepare street style cut mirchi. 
Street food almost found on roadside. Its a easy to make crispy snack pakoda which can be prepared and eaten any time especially during teatime.

This cut mirchi bajji is typical south Indian. This stuffed mirchi bajji is served in a interesting way too. Mirchi bajji is cut into roundels and fried again. The cut double fried bajjis are served with finely chopped onions, coriander leaves and lemon.

Ingredients Required
  • Besan – 1cup
  • Rice flour – 1/4th cup
  • Green chillies
  • Salt – 2tsp
  • Cooking soda – 1/2tsp
  • Ajwain – 3tsp
  • Onion – 1
  • Lemon – half
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil for deep fry
Preparation
  1. Slice green chillies into half
  2. Insert ajwain powder into green chillies and keep them aside
  3. Add besan, rice flour into a mixing bowl
  4. Add salt, cooking soda and mix all together
  5. Add water and prepare thick consistency batter that bajjis can be made
  6. Add oil for deep fry
  7. Now dip green chillies inserted with ajwain powder into the batter and drop into hot oil and fry till colour changes
  8. Now cut them into 2 inch size and deep fry them again so that green chillies are also fried properly
  9. Now add them to a plate and serve with onion, lemon and coriander leaves
