Kalakand(Milk Sweet)

                                    

In this article, I’ll share how to prepare Kalakand. 

This is a two ingredient quick and tasty kalakand (milk cake) recipe in 30 minutes. Kalakand is a rich milk cake. one of the popular Indian sweets. The traditional way of making kalakand sweet is a long one and takes some time. Milk is curdled a bit with the use of lemon or vinegar and simmered on a low flame till it thickens considerably. There are other methods too of making kalakand.

Ingredients Required
  • Milk – 1 litre
  • Sugar – 3/4cup
  • Vinegar – 1/2tsp or 1 lemon
Preparation
  • Add 1 litre milk to a pan and boil till it reduces to half litre or even more less
  • Meanwhile grease a plate with ghee and keep aside
  • Add vinegar or lemon into milk after it reduced to half, so that milk curdles
  • Keep stirring
  • Add sugar and mix
  • Keep mixing till it separates from pan
  • Transfer into ghee greased plate and set into square shape
  • Garnish with badam
  • Let rest for half an hour
  • Cut into pieces and sweet is ready to serve
