In this article, I’ll share how to prepare potato rice.
It is the recipe that is regularly prepared at home. Reason being it gets done in less time and the preparation also is quick. It is made with left over rice and is easy for lunchbox.

Ingredients Required
- Chanadal – 1tsp
- Uraddal – 1tsp
- Coriander seeds – 2tsp
- Pepper – 1/4tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/4tsp
- Red chillies – 3
- Oil – 2tsp
- Potatoes – 2
- Green chillies chopped – 2
- Turmeric – 1/2tsp
- Salt – 1 n 1/2ts
- Boiled rice – 1cup
Preparation
- Add chanadal, uraddal, coriander seeds, pepper, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies to a heated pan and fry in low heat till 2 to 3mins
- Let them cool for sometime and grind to fine powder and keep aside
- Add oil to heated pan
- Add chopped green chillies, medium size cubed potatoes and fry till potato is fried completely in high heat
- Add turmeric and salt and mix all together
- Add grounded masala powder and mix, fry for 2 to 3mins
- Add boiled rice and mix
- Finally garnish with coriander leaves
