Rasgulla

                                 

In this article, I’ll share how to prepare rasgulla. 

It is a popular Bengali sweet. Today I have shared the method of making soft, spongy and delicious rasgulla recipe. Sometimes we may fail making some recipes and learn from those mistakes. Just a small tip can change our recipe to be perfect.

Ingredients Required
  • Milk – 1/2 litre
  • Vinegar – 1tsp or 1 lemon
  • Sugar – 1 and 1/4cup
  • Maida – 1tbsp
Preparation
  1. Boil 1/2 litre milk
  2. Add vinegar or lemon juice into it, so that milk curdles
  3. when water and paneer is separated, turn off the stove and transfer paneer into a cloth
  4. Add water on it and clean once to remove vinegar flavour or lemon flavor
  5. Now close cloth and put some weight on it for 45min so that water is removed completely from paneer
  6. 45min later knead paneer for 5min, add 1tbsp maida and mix together
  7. Now prepare small balls and keep them aside
  8. For sugar syrup add 1 and 1/4cup sugar and 3 n 1/2 cups water into a bowl
  9. Turn on the stove and let sugar dissolve completely
  10. When bubbles started add paneer balls into sugar syrup, close lid and cook for 10min in high heat
  11. Ball size doubles , turn the stove to medium heat and cook for 10 more min
  12. 10min later rasgulla is ready to serve
  13. Refrigerate for half an hour and serve, tastes good when it is cool
