Tomato Rice

                                  

In this article, I’ll share how to prepare tomato rice easy way. 

This is my way of preparing by adding a secret ingredient in this. It tastes great by adding that. One of friends suggested this recipe and I made it. 

This easy, quick and delicious Tomato Rice recipe is a favorite dish from the Tamil Nadu state of South India. This one pot wonder is tasty, healthy and perfect to pack in a tiffin for lunch on the go.

Ingredients Required
  • Tomato – 3
  • Oil – 2tbsp
  • Masala Spice available can be added
  • Onion – 1
  • Green chillies -2
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1tsp
  • Salt – 2tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1tsp
  • Jeera powder -1/2tsp
  • Garam masala – 1tsp
  • Sambar powder – 1tsp
  • Rice – 2cups
Preparation
  1. Add 3 tomatoes into a mixi jar and grind to fine paste
  2. Add oil to cooker and add masala spices available and fry
  3. Add chopped onion and mirchi and fry for 2min
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 more mins till raw smell leaves
  5. Add tomato paste and cook till it is cooked perfectly
  6. Add salt, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, garam masala, sambar powder and mix all together
  7. Now add cleaned rice 2 cups and mix
  8. Now add 3 and 3/4th cup water and mix
  9. Add coriander leaves and mix
  10. Cook for 2 whistles
  11. 2Whistles later tomato rice is ready to serve
