Sweet Boondhi Mithai | Boondhi Mithai | Sweet Boondhi Chikki

An awesome sweet with a crunchy texture that robs the heart of all Indians is this Sweet Boondi Mithai which is also called as Boondhi Atchu in Telugu. This sweet is made up of Besan gram flour that is always an excitement for adults and kids in every family.

Normally at home when you all have lunch together as a family or if you have invited friends, when you are running short of time to prepare a dessert, this sweet boondi mithai will satisfy your family members or friends for sure

Ingredients Required
  • Besan Flour - 4cups
  • Rice Flour - 4tbsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Ghee - 2tbsp
  • Jaggery - 2cups(it is based on the jaggery sweetness)
  • Elachi powder - 1/4tsp

Preparation
  1. Add besan, rice flour into bowl.
  2. Add both flours after sieving them so that the boondi we prepare is perfect for making laddus.
  3. Then add a pinch of salt, and mix along with the powders. adding salt gives good taste for any sweet.
  4. Now add water and get the batter to thick flowing consistency.
  5. Now add oil into pan for deep fry to prepare boondhi.
  6. Now using boondhi maker pour the thick batter on to it to let fall the boondi into hot oil.
  7. Do not fry too much, colour of boondhi should be light than the normal boondhi.
  8. Make all boondhi and keep it aside.
  9. Now for pakam, add 2tbsp ghee, 2 cups jaggery( it is based on the sweetness of jaggery, if is less sweet then add more, if more sweet then add less quantity) and 2tbsp water into a large pan.
  10. Let jaggery melt completely.
  11. Pakam should be a round ball consistency, you can check video if needed to know exact consistency.
  12. Add elachi powder and turn off the stove.
  13. Then add all boondhi into pakam and mix.
  14. Immediately transfer the mix into ghee greased plate and spread it all over and let rest for 30 to 45mins.
  15. 45mins later cut into pieces.
  16. This boondhi mithai can be stored for 15 to 20days.
