Avakai Idly | Idly Varieties


Avakai Idly - This is the simple way of preparing variety idly with mango pickle and Idly Batter. If you are bored of eating normal idly then you can try this with mango pickle.


In all south Indian homes pickles are commonly available. So we can prepare easily. And this idly can be served with peanuts coconut chutney or sambar.

Ingredients required
  • Idly batter
  • Mango pickle - 2 to 3tbsp
  • Salt - if required 
Preparation

1. Add mango pickle into idly batter and mix all together.


2. Add batter in idly plates.


3. You can cook the same process what you daily make to prepare idly. Generally I cook in normal pressure cooker by adding a cup of water without whistle for the lid. After the pressure is completely released I'll turn off the stove.


4. After you turn off the stove let it cool for sometime and open the lid and serve avakai idlies which can be served with peanuts coconut chutney and sambar.
