Veg Biryani In Pressure Cooker


Vegetable Biryani - Vegetable Biryani is the easiest recipe that can be made in just 15 to 20mins. This is the easiest process to make this vegetable biryani and tastes great with any Chicken Recipes, Mutton Recipes, Prawns Recipes or veg recipes like Aloo Kurma, Meal maker curry etc. And it tastes great with raitha too..

Vegetable Biryani can be made in several ways. Today in this post, I'm going to make in pressure cooker. Perfect vegetable biryani will be ready with correct amount of water we use to cook the rice. Basmathi tastes great than the normal rice to make this vegetable biryani.

Ingredients Required

  • Oil - 2tbsp
  • Ghee - 1tbsp
  • Cinnamon - 1
  • Cloves - 2
  • Star anise - 1
  • Marati moggu - 1
  • Soamp - 1/2tsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Onion - 1
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Carrot - 1
  • Potato - 1
  • Tomato - 2
  • Coriander leaves
  • Mint leaves
  • Salt -1 1/2tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Garam masala - 1tsp
  • Basmathi Rice - 1cup
  • Water - 1 1/2cups
Preparation

1. Chop all the vegetables.


2. Add a tbsp oil and 1tbsp ghee into cooker.


3. Add cloves, cinnamon, star anise, marati mogga, soamp, bay leaf, elachi and saute for a minute.


4. Now add onion and green chillies and saute for a minute.
 

5. Add carrot, potato, green peas and saute for 3 to mins in low heat.


6. Then add chopped tomatoes and mix.


7. Let them fry for 3 to 4mins. Mean while clean 1 cup basmathi rice and keep aside.


8. Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 to 3mins.



9. Now add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and saute for a minute.


10. Close lid without whistle and let it cook for 2mins. So that all flavours mix properly with all veggies.


11. Open lid and add mint leaves and chopped coriander and saute for a minute.


12. Mix all together and add basmathi rice.


13. Mix all together


14. Now add water based on the rice you added. For 1 cup rice, add 1 1/2 cup water and set it perfectly.


15. Close lid and cook for 3 whistles in high heat and 5mins in sim, turn off the stove and let it cool for sometime.


16. Then open lid and now delicious veg biryani is ready to serve.


17. Non vegetarians can serve with Chicken Recipes and vegetarians can serve with Meal Maker Curry or any Egg Curry.
