Ajwain rice is very simple and easy rice recipe that can be made in just 2mins if cooked rice is ready. Basmathi rice or normal any non sticky rice can be used to make ajwain rice.

Ajwain is a good source of fiber, and it is very helpful for the digestive system for stomach issues, improving intestine health. They also help in relieving the bloating. Ajwain seeds are beneficial in treating abdominal discomfort due to indigestion, loss of appetite.

Ingredients Required

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Ajwain - 2tbsp
  • Oil - 2tbsp
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Chanadal - 1tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Peanuts - 2tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
How To Make Ajwain Rice

1. Cook rice and let it cool, so that rice won't stick. Any non sticky rice or basmathi rice can be used. Here I'm using normal rice.


2. Add oil into heated pan.


3. Add red chillies, chanadal, uraddal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Let them fry




4. Add ajwain seeds. You can add 2tbsp ajwain seeds for 1cup rice. For spice we don't add any other green chillies or chilli powder. 


5. Add peanuts, curry leaves and fry till peanuts are fried.


6. Add boiled rice and mix.


7. Add salt and mix.


8. Mix all together.



Finally ajwain rice is ready to serve.
